Our dispensing area is separate from the reception and waiting area, ensuring you have privacy and peace when you choose your frame and discuss your lens requirements. If we don't have the perfect frame for you, we are happy to order others in on approval.

We use a range of technology to help you in your choice. The Relaxed Vision System photographs you in your chosen frame and calculates the best type of lens and position within the frame. We believe this to be more accurate than approaching you with a ruler and felt tip, and also ensures you are in a relaxed stance when the measurements are taken, thus ensuring the best possible performance from your final spectacles.

You may know the problem of choosing empty frames when you can't focus in the mirror- FrameStore takes a photograph of you in several frames - and then you put your own spectacles back on and view the images. We use software to show you the advantages in lens thickness and weight when you upgrade to high-index lenses, and also the improvement in viewing area obtained with latest varifocal designs.

We provide many spectacle and frame options at Kathryn Stott Optometrists. We are happy to accept outside prescriptions.

We offer the latest in quality ophthalmic lenses such as thinner & lighter lenses, anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings, varifocal designs, computer lenses, and other speciality lens products. Carl Zeiss, Nikon, Essilor and Transitions III are just a few of the lens suppliers we use.

Our superb selection of frames includes designs by leading manufacturers such as Calvin Klein,  Gucci, Lindberg and Daniel Swarovski. As we do not have city centre overheads, we know our prices are extremely competitive. We appreciate that not everyone's pocket can stretch to designer names, and stock a wide range of frames for every budget.

Children's frames are now so attractive that some of our younger patients are upset to be told they do not need spectacles!
