Protecting your Eyes whilst hitting the Slopes

Get your prescription / non prescription sunglasses from Kathryn Stott Optometrists

Are you hitting the slopes any time soon? Have you got your sunglasses yet?

If not why don't you pop into the practice to see our range of Oakley sunglasses which are perfect for skiers or snowboarders alike!

Our top tip for sunglasses worn for winter sports is; always go for polarized lenses. They reduce the glare of the sun off the snow whilst increasing the clarity of your vision, as well as blocking out 100% all ultraviolet light - UVA, UVB and UVC rays.

Our next tip is to get the most out of your polarized lens, why not consider a tinted lens. This will balance the light transmission whilst improving depth perception.

The photo below demonstrates the difference polarized coloured lenses can make, the right image is wearing an Oakley Iridium Polarized lens, while the left image is what it looks like from the naked eye.

Our experts in the practice can help you to choose a pair of sunglasses that will improve your vision and protect your eyes whilst hitting the slopes.
